My next new pattern is “With All My Heart”.
I may have forgotten to tell you that all of my new patterns use my Tiny Dresden Template and one of them also uses my Mini Dresden Template.
With All My Heart uses some of those Tiny Dresden plates that I made in January with the New Hope jelly roll.
I love the collection.
Just my colors and so many ideas came to mind as I was sewing with it.
This sewing was happening shortly before Valentine’s Day, so of course I was seeing hearts everywhere.
No surprise that I would design a heart block just the right size to accommodate a Tiny Dresden plate, right?
Too big & the Tiny Dresden would cover the whole heart & too small the heart would overpower the Tiny Dresden.
This one would do!
This is one quilt that I didn’t have totally designed in my computer before I started to sew.
Early I decided the center block would need to be different than those surrounding it.
So embroidery with no. 8 perle cotton is my “different” of choice.
And quickly made.
Then to decide what else the quilt needed…
It needed more, but smaller hearts to surround the bigger heart center.
This was my design wall.
Since my sewing room has very little wall (lots of windows & doorways) I typically use the floor to lay things out on, but I chose my hanging quilt this day.
Once decided, I set to cutting more squares & hst’s. for the little heart blocks.
Soon it was time to lay out the blocks & start sewing them together.
It was cold that day! Notice my winter boots?
I love these pics & remembering the progress of the quilt!
I hope you do too.
Meet With All My Heart.
If you hadn’t guessed,
it’s available on my website today!
Just Keep Sewing…

This is really very lovely. I never thought about HST’s making a heart. What a great design.
