Week # 17
Yay!
It’s time for assembly!
Refer to page 7 to sew together the blocks to make Quilt #1.
The diagram will show you how to sew the blocks into 4 sections,
& the numbers tell you what order to sew those sections to each other to complete Quilt #1.
As noted,
Quilt #1 should measure 18 1/2″ x 24 1/2″.
I’m curious who plans to make 4 individual quilts,
& who will make the one big quilt.
I can’t wait to see!
Please keep posting your progress on our “Sewing With Susan” Facebook group.
Just Keep Sewing…
Susan
I am making the large quilt. Am I to assume that it is easier to sew this quilt in sections (like quilt 1-4, etc) and then sew them together to make the quilt? Probably a dumb question, but wanted to ask!
I designed & wrote the instructions to assemble it into 4 quilts first, then sew the 4 quilts together and add the borders. It was an afterthought to leave it as 4 separate quilts! I like big & beautiful! I also understand now that some quilters are preferring to make just 1 quilt, or make them all but for 4 gifts, or they don’t have a wall big enough to hang the large quilt so they have 4 small quilts to decorate with.
