Autumn & Quiltmania Pumpkins

Everywhere you look is seems like Christmas is already here,

but there are several more weeks of fall here, people!

Don’t get gypped out of your fall.

There is still time to make a fall quilt &

Quiltmania has quite a few in their Special Autumn 2014 issue!

My Pumpkins in the Patch table runner for instance would look great on your Thanksgiving table or sideboard.

You still have time.

There are many other projects included too.

I want to make one of each…

Even if you don’t have time this fall,

you’ll want to find this issue for future fall projects!

Just keep sewing…

Welcome to Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Kick-Off Blog Tour

I’m honored to once again have a block featured in

Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks from Today’s Top Designers Volume 6!!!

It’s a new issue with 100 more original blocks complete with full instructions.

I submitted this block last spring when I was knee-deep in preparations with

my new “Baby Love” book.

We all have opportunities to sew quilts for babies at some point in time.

I can see so many possibilities with this block.

Make just one block and have a cute center focal point.

By adding a few borders to this block, it can quickly make a small baby quilt or wall hanging.

If a more generous size quilt is what you’re after,

make 5 “Baby” blocks and set them with 4, 12″ coordinating fabric squares to make this 42″ baby quilt.

As you know, the possibilities are endless.

Of course there is a give-away!

To enter to win a free copy of the new 100 Blocks Volume 6,

go UP, UP, UP to the TOP of this post and leave a comment letting me know how many baby quilts you’ve sewn so far.

If you’d like a chance to win a pattern of your choice from my website

Subscribe to my blog and leave me another comment telling me which of my patterns you would like to win.

If you’re already a subscriber let me know that in your comment along with your favorite pattern choice.

Two winners will be drawn for a free pattern.

Respond before midnight Tuesday to win the drawings,

and don’t forget to leave your email address.

Please visit the other bloggers this week, by going to Quiltmaker’s blog for the complete list.

There are lots of great prizes all week long.

Thanks for stopping by & good luck!

Until next time,

Quilts from Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Fall’12

Welcome to Quiltmaker’s on-line kickoff!

Once again, I’d like to introduce you to a new magazine.

The wonderful folks at Quiltmaker have come up with another volume of their new publication,

Quilts from Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks, Fall ’12

To answer your question; yes, I have a quilt included in this volume!

If you remember, I introduced my “No Ordinary Flake” block from Volume 2 here.

I showed you what you could do if you made 16 of those blocks and set them together with sashing.

I still love the look of this quilt!

When Volume 4 was released I introduced you to my Santa block here.

I showed you how you could make a tablerunner with this block, remember?

For this new magazine, the folks at Quiltmaker

asked designers to submit designs

using multiple blocks from past 100 Blocks issues to make quilts, tablerunners, etc.

Since I love to sew for Christmas…

I decided a quilt using those two blocks would be a nice mix.

Just 4 Santa blocks & a few flakes and you’re on your way to a new quilt!

I almost forgot. I’m a centerfold.

Well, my pattern is.

When you get your magazine, you’ll see my quilt right there in the middle with the applique sheet.

Don’t you love the bright, cheery Christmas fabrics?

They are Northcott’s Christmas Classics by Deborah Edwards.

If you’d like a chance to win a copy of the new issue,

Quilts from Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks follow-up

It’s available now!

You can see my block in the quilt made by Peg Spradlin on her website.

This is my block as it appeared in Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Vol. 3.

I wonder who won and owns it now???  See my signature under the “m”?  That’s one of the requirements of the challenge.  Each of the original 100 blocks featured is won in a drawing during the blog hop sponsored by Quiltmaker when the new issue is ready to debut.  You can see past blog hops sponsored by Quiltmaker here.

This it how I made it into a little quilt that was also featured in the gallery of that issue.

I love seeing how other quilters use my designs.

Now run out and get your very own copy before it’s too late!

Until next time,

New Magazine:Quilts from Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks

It’s always fun to find something new and exciting, yes?

I heard at Fall International Quilt Market last October that Quiltmaker was working on a new publication, a magazine that quilt designers use multiple blocks from previous issues of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks magazines and put them together into one quilt. They can be your blocks or other designers’ blocks.

QFcover opt2 Announcing QM Rocks the Blocks

Last month I was contacted by Quiltmaker because someone was inspired to use one of my blocks in their quilt and it made it into the first issue!  I couldn’t wait to find out which block they used and to see how they used it.

The issue goes on sale this week and on Tuesday, Quiltmaker is giving away 20 copies.

Good luck!

Until next time,

P.S. My friend, Celine Perkins of Perkins Dry Goods, has a quilt included in the issue.
