With my new template being just 2″, one might think tedious,
but I’m loving this!
So precise!!!
The complete little plate is just about 4″.
Now, I’m on to the next step,
gluing the plates to their background squares.
Then it will be back to stitching…
Can’t wait to show you the finished quilts!

Any time I can use a Plexiglass template it sure is a time saver and there’s no beating its accuracy. I designed a mini applecore template a few years ago to go with my Old Glory in Mini-Applecore Flag Pattern.
When I started working on a mini Dresden plate block I knew I would need to design a template for that as well.
This template allows you to cut up to 8 layers of fabric at once, and its accuracy is great!

The packaging includes instructions to make a 9″ finished block.
The blocks featured on the packaging are from my pattern titled “A Pretty Plate.”
So far I’ve designed two patterns that use this template. Guess what tomorrow’s featured pattern will be…
