Quilts from Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Fall’12

Welcome to Quiltmaker’s on-line kickoff!

Once again, I’d like to introduce you to a new magazine.

The wonderful folks at Quiltmaker have come up with another volume of their new publication,

Quilts from Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks, Fall ’12

To answer your question; yes, I have a quilt included in this volume!

If you remember, I introduced my “No Ordinary Flake” block from Volume 2 here.

I showed you what you could do if you made 16 of those blocks and set them together with sashing.

I still love the look of this quilt!

When Volume 4 was released I introduced you to my Santa block here.

I showed you how you could make a tablerunner with this block, remember?

For this new magazine, the folks at Quiltmaker

asked designers to submit designs

using multiple blocks from past 100 Blocks issues to make quilts, tablerunners, etc.

Since I love to sew for Christmas…

I decided a quilt using those two blocks would be a nice mix.

Just 4 Santa blocks & a few flakes and you’re on your way to a new quilt!

I almost forgot. I’m a centerfold.

Well, my pattern is.

When you get your magazine, you’ll see my quilt right there in the middle with the applique sheet.

Don’t you love the bright, cheery Christmas fabrics?

They are Northcott’s Christmas Classics by Deborah Edwards.

  3. I can’t wait to get this issue because I have every other 100 blocks issue so I can’t stop now. Winning one would be wonderful, but either way I’ll have it.

I really love the No Ordinary Flake Quilt. That’s such a pretty block/quilt

  4. The last time I was on your blog I don’t recall there being a way to follow so when I first came today to visit from Quiltmaker I noticed the follow and did so immediately. Then I read the post and you asked us to follow if we wanted an extra chance to win more. I guess I just did things backwards but I am happy that I am now following.

You have a number of patterns I’d love to have, but my current favorite is “A Pretty Plate”. I have always loved Dresden’s so I was drawn to that one right away. It’s beautiful.

  16. A Center fold no less LOL. Great table topper I love it. The pattern I am loving is In Season For Fall.I joined your blog glad I found it.

  20. I dont know how to subscribe to a blog, but I love your flaky patterns. You design with humor, and we all need that, especially when we make oopsies in our quilts!

  21. I am a subscriber to your blog, thanks. If I would happen to be the lucky person to win the quilt “Abraham Lincoln Tribute” looked like a very interesting quilt.

  22. Thank you for the lovely giveaway and the chance to win a copy of Quilts from Quiltmakers 100 Blocks magazine. Your Cars On The Road quilt-as-you-go pattern is very cute. I subscribe to your blog e-mail posts via the +Follow function at the bottom of the screen.

  26. Thank you Susan for a chance to win the magazine. I love what you’ve done with the Santa block & a few flakes!
You have a great variety of patterns & I have to say “Mittens on the Line” is one of my faves!

  27. How to choose just one? There are so many and so little time. I think I would have to choose ‘lil Matryoshki. I am a doll collector, and this quilt would be perfect in the “doll room.” But then it will soon be Christmas and my girls would love to get Santa or snowflakes.

  28. The two blocks together are really cute. Your pattern, “Mittens on the Line” is my favorite. I just subscribed to your blog. What fun.

  29. Love your work. The Santa block made into a table runner seems to go up my alley. I have been making many runners for shower gifts. I think I’d like to make holiday specific runner for a change. Thanks for sharing your talent.

  30. I’m always looking for table runners to give for gifts. Just what I need 100 more things to quilt. I love the magazine. Annette
